TESTIMONIALS

To whom it may concern:

As a Professor with Algonquin College’s School of Media & Design I am happy to endorse Allison Dube and her professional and design skills. Allison has been a student of mine for two years within the Game Development program; in the time she has shown remarkable professionalism and a tempered work ethic in her studies, as well as a strong grasp of the theoretical and practical design theory.

Throughout the entirety of my experience with Allison, she has always shown an excellence for clear, professional communication, a level-headed approach to managing her responsibilities, and the drive to pursue improvement in her skills as well as the direction to achieve it. In all of this, she has shown a clear, responsible approach to her work — even when workloads have been especially demanding.

Additionally, Allison has demonstrated excellent design skills over her time in my classes. She has developed strong artistic and graphic design abilities and has a professional command over trade tools, and uses them to great effect. Her performance in my Interface Design course especially demonstrates a great overall ability to deliver solid design work, but also consistency in applying new information to her methods and improving on her approaches. Her current skills are strong, but she also shows great potential for long term growth.

Allison will excel wherever the opportunity exists for her to do so; she’s skilled, personable, and incredibly keen, and I’m more than happy to recommend her highly for any position ready to challenge her.

Should any further information be required, or if you would like to discuss Allison further, please don’t hesitate to contact me, either by phone (647-230-0834) or by email (beatong@algonquincollege.com).

To Whom It May Concern:

I have worked with Allison for 10 months at the Canada Revenue Agency as her manager. Allison joined our team as a student, helping to support the design aspects our project. Allison quickly established herself as a strong designer, a creative thinker, and a quick learner. One of her first tasks was to learn a design software that our team used, something my lead designer said should take Allison a few days. She was not only able to learn the software but master it within a few hours.

Allison is a passionate designer and employee who believes strongly in the work that she creates. Allison takes initiative without prompting. For example, the team was using a tool to help support its work. However, the tool seemed to create more problems then it solved. Allison took it upon herself to create a modified version of the tool and to solicit input from others. The new tool was well received by many on the team and demonstrated that not only was Allison able to identify a problem, but was more than equipped to create solutions.

When our lead designer left the project for another opportunity, Allison was able to quickly and efficiently jump in to help fill in some of the gaps while another designer was found. Working with our lead technical and usability advisors, Allison was able to finish up a very high profile release that had some outstanding items. Everything from researching and identifying icons to be used to documenting procedures and verifying code.

Allison’s passion and drive, her initiative and dedication, will continue to serve her well and to make her a wonderful addition to any team.

Should you wish to discuss anything in this letter or speak about Allison more broadly, please do not hesitate to contact me.
